Cry Baby displays a Middle Eastern-inspired sound, Too Late To Say Goodbye is brimming with dramatic, sweeping violin melodies, and Aberdeen feels like a beautifully chaotic unravelling of the original track. By removing everything except the base elements of each track and adding simple string and percussive arrangements, the listener is able to truly appreciate the depth of the lyrics and the heart of each song. Social Cues has more resonance and harmony than previous efforts. They are a band that just keeps getting stronger. You definitely need to give this album a listen! I truly enjoy listening to every single song. This was one of the first albums I ever owned and listened to all the way through multiple times, so I had to get nostalgic and buy it on vinyl. Let me tell you, it is still as awesome as I remember it being.
