The Doctor survives a direct strike from Skullshatterer thanks to Hoshiguma. Skullshatterer fights off Hoshiguma and uses his Arts to turn himself into a suicide bomb. Before Skullshatterer can reach the Doctor, a desperate Amiya pierces his body with her own Arts before he can detonate himself, killing him. W suddenly appears at the LGD camp to give Amiya a two-way radio before escaping. Back at the Reunion camp, Misha decides to take up the mantle of Skullshatterer herself. Suddenly, Skullshatterer reappears on the battlefield and rallies the Reunion forces. Amiya confronts Skullshatterer by herself and deduces that Misha is wearing his outfit. As Amiya questions whether her ideals still matter in this world, the Doctor encourages her to remain hopeful, as Amiya was able to rescue them with her ideals.
Mephisto goads Amiya to come out of hiding after his men burn a building fill with dead civilians. Before Amiya can fight Mephisto and his men, the entire area is frozen due to the arrival of the Reunion leader of the "Yetis", FrostNova.

This dystopian world is plagued by natural Disasters, which leave behind a valuable, but damned, resource called Originium. The issue here is that Originium infects those who come into contact with it with a disease. However, it allows for various tech to be created and magical abilities to those who can harness its power. Semi-animalistic humans called Ancients are most susceptible to the Originium disease, leaving normal humans to be fearful of them despite the good intentions of most Ancients. Another group is known as The Reunion, a terrorist group filled with disenfranchised Ancients who use any means necessary to change the discriminatory behavior towards their people, even if it leads to death.
Players are tasked with leading the fight against The Reunion and bringing order to a world on the brink of collapse. Arknights plays like a tower defense game, where you can place a variety of units on a field to halt enemies from getting too close to your resources. Some levels will require you to use casters that have an area of effect AOE spell to quickly take out clumped up enemies while others will need you to use vanguard characters to block a few enemies.

Alex tells Misha why he joined Reunion and hopes Misha will join as well.
Texas and Exusiai spy on the hideout from afar, and relay the location to Amiya, while Alex teaches Misha how to use his Arts-powered grenade launcher. Both sides charge at each other in an abandoned rock quarry. The Doctor survives a direct strike from Skullshatterer thanks to Hoshiguma.
