Home Sweet Home Alone’s Archie Yates: ‘I felt I’d completed my life’s dreams (at age 11)’
Archie will play a role similar to Kevin McCallister, who is either the son of Ellie and Rob or a kid they go to war with over a stolen family heirloom. Twitter is full of mixed reviews regarding the Home Alone reboot. Social media agrees that casting Archie, Ellie, and Rob is brilliant. If a reboot is happening, those three are perfect to take on the task of giving fans a new version of Home Alone.

The funniest stunt was probably the trampoline-into-tree part. I mean, that was funny. Speaking of Rob Delaney, there are a lot of experienced comedians in this movie. Him, Kenan Thompson, Ellie Kemper — who was your favorite to work with? Aisling was the one that I just had so much fun working with, because we naturally bond so well together. Which I love. So we both meet at the same age mindset of around 17. We are very similar. Were you familiar with many of these actors before you got to work with them?
Had you seen any of their work? I think she was. With so many comedians on set, I bet you did some improvising. I think it was really good that I got to practice doing improv. This was my first proper taste of it, and now I have a feel of what I need to do. How much do you relate to your character Max? In relation to Max, I do actually find him to be quite wise, like myself.
Working on this film has been an honor.
I thought that I would just be, like, a little side character! What was that like? What was the best part of getting famous? Maybe just a little too much! Did you grow up watching the original movie? I religiously watch this film every year at Christmas. So being part of a reimagining of this incredible film is a lifelong dream. And I was so happy when I did.
What was the best part of shooting that? That was so fun to film. I knew it was completely safe, because they had tried and tested it many times before. I was just living the dream doing that. The safety team were, like, on it. They did so well. And the stunt team was incredible.

Особого значения этому не придали: ни адресника, ни ошейника на псе не было. А железнодорожники и вовсе говорят, что бездомные собаки в поездах зимой не редкость. На платформах, где нет турникетов, дворняги часто забегают погреться и так путешествуют по Подмосковью. Опечаленный и разогретый спиртным Сергей очень эмоционально пытался отыскать своего Арчибальда.
Того, разумеется, там не было. Зато за мужчиной наблюдали другие пассажиры — которые потом поехали в Чехов он в трех остановках. Там на станции люди увидели, что другие пассажиры подобрали той-терьера и ищут хозяина. Нашедшие Арчи повезли его на «Столбовую». Но Сергей уже уехал оттуда. Люди, которые привезли Арчи на станцию, не смогли взять собаку себе.
В волонтерских сводках писали, мол, его выбросила из поезда охрана электрички. А его хозяина за пару станций до — ссадили с поезда. В ночь на 26 января эпопея в ней много сюжетных твистов! Мол, выкинули на мороз маленькую собачку, как посмели… Но на деле все было иначе. Десять дней назад Сергей ехал на электричке из Серпухова в сторону Чехова с Арчибальдом полное имя «тойчика» на руках. Ну, как «ехал». Буянил, валился с ног, приставал к пассажирам… И те вызвали охрану. А вот Арчи — сбежал от хозяина обратно в электричку. Забился под сиденья и поехал дальше. Охрана нашла терьера-зайца.
Или, к примеру, иронии про ремейки популярных франшиз, которая здесь совершенно не забавляет. Фильм, судя по отзывам, вообще пытается смешивать между собой разные тональные элементы, однако успеха не достигает. Кроме того, в нём очень много непонятных сюжетных решений, наличие которых тоже вызвало вопросы. Среди плюсов авторы IGN назвали актёрскую игру самого Йейтса и линию грабителей, но в основном все издания заключили, что лучше просто не трогать оригинал.
