New Features Autodesk Revit 2024
The new sample model, Snowdon Towers, is a mixed-use development that includes residential, commercial and retail space. The model is highly detailed and demonstrates best practices for modeling, documentation, and collaboration. It includes seven linked models, phasing and design options , and a detailed site model created with the enhanced tools from this release. Dark mode applies to all primary UI elements, such as ribbons, palettes, dialogs, and main menus. The canvas viewport background will also be automatically set to a dark or light color based on your UI selection. But not really, because the dark theme does not cover the secondary menus yet. Hopefully this will be fixed in one of the next hotfixes for this release. I find that the new icons and the dark mode make the interface a lot clearer and easier to use. The TopoSolid tool allows you to create site elements that have depth and thickness, unlike the TopoSurface tool, which only created flat surfaces.
The TopoSolid tool works similarly to the floor tool. You first sketch an extrusion boundary with magenta lines, then you can modify the sub-elements by adding points at specific heights to create slopes. There are six site solids to choose from in the type selector.

However, the software is not evolving slower than the industry would like. Some of the tools should be recreated from scratch instead of getting patched. Nevertheless, Autodesk did a good job overall. This article covers the general and architectural features of Revit 2024. The new design includes redesigned icons for both light and dark themes, which aims to reduce screen glare and enhance the viewing experience. After using it, I prefer it. The Canvas Theme button on the View ribbon tab enables easy switching of the graphics window between light and dark without affecting the rest of the interface. Interface adjustments are available in the options on the Colors panel.

Теперь вместо эквивалентного диаметра используется гидравлический диаметр». Особо добавить нечего. Модель энергопотребления с учётом скрытых элементов Если кто-то этим вдруг пользовался, то теперь можно сначала настроить видимость только тех элементов, которые нужны рассчитывать, а уже потом считать. Ну чисто теоретически тогда можно скрывать ненужные стены и оставлять только один «слой» из стен, предварительно задав ему термическое сопротивление всей стены, и так считать теплопотери. Вот как-то так.

In Revit 2024: Subregions has been replaced by Sub-Divide. The base idea is the same: draw boundaries over the toposolid. Similarly to sub-regions, you can extend the boundaries beyond the limit of the toposolid without receiving a warning. Sub-Divisions are placed on top of the toposolid. You can then pick a material and set a thickness in the instance properties. Sub-Division have a thickness instance parameter. There is another parameter called Inherit Contours. It allows you to decide if you want to see the contours on the subdivision or not. In Revit 2024: Building pads are gone. Instead, Autodesk recommends using the Massing tool to create void geometry. These tools are more complex and potentially more confusing than building pads, but they allow you to create more complex shapes.
In this example, we create a void shape for a parking driveway. You could also use the model in-place tool, but uh... Overall, this is probably for the best... In Revit 2024: Each toposolid type can have different kinds of topography contours. In the type properties of a toposolid, you need to click on Contour Display. You can decide to have a toposolid type with lots of contours. However, the contours are not visible when editing the points. And maybe you want a water toposolid without any contours. In this example, the toposolid is cut to accommodate the foundation wall and footing.
Comparing Revit 2024 site tools to previous versions. Toposolid Replaces Toposurface Although the toposurface and building pads are no longer available, they are preserved when a model is updated to Revit 2024. Those elements can be modified and copied. You just cannot create new instances as the commands are gone. Figure 25 shows a toposurface and building pad after an initial model upgrade. Figure 25. Example of a pre-Revit 2024 toposurface and building pad. To convert a toposurface, select it and follow the steps shown in Figure 26. Step 2 involves selecting a toposurface family type that can have several surface characteristics preset. Figure 26. The steps to upgrade a toposurface to a toposolid. The toposurface is not deleted as this would delete the building pads which need to be recreated manually. Since there is no building pad tool, Autodesk recommends that an in-place mass set to cut the toposolid be created, as shown in Figure 27. This provides a lot more options, like tunnels and sloped edges. The biggest challenge is that the workflow is not as intuitive for the average Revit user, in my opinion. Figure 27. The suggested replacement for the building pad tool is an in-place mass void. Sub-regions are automatically converted to sub-divisions. Figure 28 shows the various type settings for this new element. Notice two things. First, the toposolid is fundamentally based on the floor element. Second, the contour settings are now set per object type rather than globally. Figure 28. Toposolid properties. Knowing that the element is essentially an enhanced floor element, note that apply materials is a little odd. Then I had to paint a grass material on the surface. The tricky part with painting is that the surface is made up of several facets and required several picks to paint the entire surface. Toposolid — Creation Workflow A toposolid is created similar to a floor element. You start by sketching the perimeter of the ground to be defined and then finish the creation mode. Next, you select the toposurface and use the Add Points option on the ribbon, adjusting the offset value also on the ribbon. Roads and walkways are created using the Sub-Divide tool found on the ribbon when a toposolid is selected. This is similar to the sub-region tool where an enclosed area is defined within the larger toposolid perimeter. The result is a solid extrusion which conforms to the ground and can be adjusted vertically. However, the sub-divide height cannot be negative. The last image in this section shows how a mass void can create a tunnel in the toposolid. This was not possible with a toposurface. Shared Coordinates While there is nothing new with shared coordinates, I wanted to share a link to my YouTube series on the topic Shared Coordinates in Revit that is easy to understand and covers many of the questions that often come up. This workflow will be the same in Revit 2024, even when using the new toposolid element. This workflow also works on a project hosted in BIM 360. Figure 32.

Выберите вкладку «Архитектура»панель «Помещения и зоны»раскрывающийся список «Зона» Линия границы зоны , нарисуйте границу с помощью инструментов на панели «Рисование» и используйте инструмент «Линия» на панели «Рисование», чтобы изменить границу зоны. В редакторе групп нажмите Готово. Сохранение настройки разделителя свойств типа! Ширина столбца, заданная в диалоговом окне «Свойства типа», сохраняется для каждого компьютера. При создании аналога используется корректный инструмент рисования! При нажатии кнопки «Создать аналог» из галереи рисования запускается корректный инструмент. Ранее при выборе дуги, эллипса или сплайна функция «Создать аналог» выделяла неверный инструмент в галерее рисования. Команду «Создать аналог» можно использовать для следующих элементов. Линии линия модели, линия детализации, опорные линии, разделение помещений и пространств, граница нагрузки на основе зоны в анализе электросистем. Стены Несущий каркас балки. Сохранение видов при изменении варианта конструкции! В диалоговом окне «Удаление связанных с элементом видов» флажки для видов сняты по умолчанию, и можно установить флажки только для тех видов, которые требуется удалить. Ранее некоторые типы видов, например чертежные виды или спецификации, созданные в удаляемом варианте конструкции, отмечались для удаления и выбор нельзя было отменить. Открыл первое попавшееся семейство — точки подключения умывальника. Добавил вложенное семейство в категории «Элементы узлов», нарисовал символическую линию и область штриховки. Если дисциплина инженерная, Сантехника, Механизмы или Электросети, то в параметре «Показать невидимые линии» должно стоять «Нет», иначе всё просвечивает. Вот только есть незадача: при таком выборе не будет видно оси труб, а нам они нужны. Если на дисциплине «Координация» выбрать «Нет» или «По категории», то результат одинаковый: оси не видно, но и не просвечивает, всё как на первом скриншоте ниже. Если при «Координации» выбрать «Все», то оси видно, само УГО отрисовывается в нужном порядке, но при этом ещё в стиле невидимых линий отображается основная геометрия семейства. Оформить план красиво по-прежнему нельзя. Всё-таки Ревит 2019 — великолепен. Именно в этой версии я создаю свои платные семейства, с которыми можете ознакомиться в моём магазине.
